November Schedule and more!
We have great classes coming up in November. Please join us.
November is a busy month for us. We have added second sections of courses, new courses, old courses, and, for the first time, we have three courses on a single days in multiple locations. Frank will be teaching three sessions about smartphones in Morton Grove in November. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn more about Android operating systems. I hope some of you will take advantage of these classes as well as an opportunity to see the Morton Grove campus. Stan has added two sessions for iPads. More and more of our students and clients are using iPhone, iPads, Android and Windows operating systems. We are developing and expanding our skills to meet these fast growing markets.
Next week's schedule follows.

Week of October 21
Yes,
next week is another busy schedule. Mel
kicks off the week with his continuing Intermediate Photo Editing course. Herb and I are teaching Skype on Tuesday
morning, and we can really use some coaching help. On Tuesday afternoon, the third and final
session of Beyond Boot Camp focuses on Security and the Internet. Wednesday, Gene teaches students how to save
money on travel, and Thursday, Stan completes his two-session iPad course.
Don’t
forget, we have an Instructors’ and Coaches’ Meeting tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Stan leads the Computer Users’ Group at 2:00,
and he will be talking about Windows 8.1. (We have downloaded 8.1 on to one of the CLC
computers. It promptly crashed. Murray and I worked on it for a couple of
hours, and it is still crashed. We do
have a plan to make it work, but that is what we also said after the first
crash.)

Computer Classes October 7 to October 11
M.R. clearly used her computer skills to grab her picture with the Stanley Cup
We
are in full-swing! Next week if filled with great courses, and we are
counting on our coaches to fulfill our hope to provide near one-to-one
assistance for our students – especially for the basic courses such as “Beyond
Boot Camp” and “You have mail.” The first session of iPhone had lots of
students (13 or so) and lots of coaches. We are counting on the coaches
to help out in session 2. And trust me – “Fun on the Internet” will be
lots of fun.
